Communication and Arts

NWACC's Communication and Arts programs include art, graphic design, creative writing, music, theatre, journalism and more. Courses are taught by highly-qualified and engaged instructors with real-world experience, including published writers and composers, and award-winning musicians and playwrights.

You can choose from a variety of academic paths within communication and arts, including earning an associate of fine arts degree, associate of applied science degree, a technical certificate, a certificate of proficiency, or a transfer degree.

Many fine arts students also pursue a certificate in integrated design and enjoy taking courses in the NWACC's Integrated Design Lab. The lab holds courses in integrated design, fine arts, construction and computer-aided design, and houses space for sculptures, ceramics, 3D printers, laser cutting equipment, and other tools. Learn more about the Integrated Design Lab
